On Monday, the sophomores had the privilege of hearing Holocaust Survivor, Alice Schoenfeld's story of survival! Alice was nine years old and living in Presov, Slovakia when Nazi occupation forced her and her family to hide their identities until the end of the war. At the end of the presentation, students were able to ask Alice questions about her story! This video conference was part of a cross-curricular unit taught by Mrs. Madden (10th grade English), Mr. Nugent, and Mrs. Olson (10th grade U.S. History). #HSDGoTigers #History view image
