On Saturday, April 6, Hillsboro Middle and High School music students participated in the prestigious Little River's Music Conference District Solo & Ensemble event. Hillsboro had 63 vocal events and seven instrumental events performed throughout the day, showcasing their hard work, dedication, and talent.
Solo & Ensemble is an opportunity for students to showcase their talents, and practice valuable skills like how to manage their nerves and deliver their performances under pressure.
The following students/events received a superior rating and will advance to the state competition: Kyleigh Anderson (music theater), Gianna Bartovics (Soprano Solo & music theater), Kate Holthe (Soprano solo & music theater), Hannah Miller (alto solo), Gillian Novacheck (alto solo) Gable Pooley (bass solo & music theater solo), Savannah Pooley (alto solo & music theater solo) Gable & Savannah Pooley (vocal duet).
