Hillsboro Middle/High School physical education teacher Joseph Woodhouse secured a grant to support the Fuel Up to Play 60 initiative in Hillsboro Middle/High School.
Mr. Woodhouse's application was selected from many schools across the state that had applied for funding.
Fuel Up to Play 60 is an in-school nutrition and physical activity program that was launched by the National Dairy Council and the National Football League, with additional partnership support from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
The program encourages youth to consume nutrient-rich foods and achieve at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day.
