Hillsboro School District’s Jamie Gates received Vernon County’s Special Educator of the Year Award from at the Vernon County Awards event held at Hillsboro Brewing Company on Wednesday, November 8.
The awards ceremony celebrated community stakeholders who make Vernon County a better place to live, work, and learn and was held in collaboration with Vernon County Economic Development, local chamber of commerces and area business associations.
Jamie Gates has worked in the special education department at Hillsboro Schools for the past thirteen years, and during her time has helped students and families receive the best education and care available.
