The Hillsboro Bike Shop is a self-sustaining weekly program that teaches bike repair to middle school students. The program provides students the opportunity to learn valuable skills: fix bikes, solve problems, build confidence, and give back.
The founding mission of Bike Shop is to empower students to support their community. Students build and repair donated bikes, which are then given back to students and residents of Hillsboro and surrounding areas.
Bike Shop has made a significant impact over its decade of operation. Over 300 bikes have been repaired and donated.
