Hillsboro sophomore Gable Pooley was selected for the Wisconsin School Music Association (WSMA) High School Mixed Honors Choir, a prestigious achievement following a rigorous audition. Candidates perform a class A music selection and sight-sing provided examples without preparation.
Selected students attend a four-day music camp in June, collaborating with a nationally recognized conductor and vocal coaches to prepare for the event. Two high school choirs, a treble choir and a mixed choir, each consisting of approximately 100 singers representing schools across the state of Wisconsin, had the distinguished honor of performing at the Overture Center in Madison on Thursday, October 30th. Each ensemble presented a diverse repertoire spanning various genres and historical periods, performing in multiple languages.
