Staff stand with instructor who demonstrates new math practices

On Wednesday, February 18, Chelsea Adams from CESA 4 facilitated a professional development session for Hillsboro math staff titled Redesigning Math Classrooms.

As lifelong learners, professional development enables our educators to remain up-to-date on the latest research, technology, and resources to ensure the best student outcomes.

The workshop focused on building number sense and highlighted best practices in addressing math anxiety, understanding learner generations, balancing process versus product, implementing effective instructional routines, and redesigning lessons. Hillsboro staff gained practical strategies and resources to strengthen their instructional practices and best support their students.
