Senior Ian Anderson delivered an exceptional performance at the 2026 State Scholastic Chess Championship. Competing in Division II Varsity, Ian finished the two-day tournament undefeated and earned Board 4 Champion honors for Hillsboro.
His standout effort came against some of Wisconsin's top chess players, marking an impressive achievement and a proud moment for the team.
