First Graders pose with their completed puzzle

This year, Mrs. Kraska's first-grade class has completed over 13 puzzles.

Puzzles ranged from 100 to 500 pieces for a total of 35,000 pieces connected this year! Students can choose to work on it after work is complete, during choice time, or before school starts.

Beyond being a great activity for building friendships and learning to work collaboratively, puzzles provide cognitive and fine-motor development. They also encourage and reward sustained focus and patience.
