The Hillsboro MS/HS Fuel up to Play 60 team received a grant to "Waste Less and Enjoy".
The "Waste Less and Enjoy" program aims to find solutions to food waste at school. Hillsboro students created a sharing table at lunch to save unopened items from breakfast and lunch. Through the grant, the Hillsboro FUTP 60 team was able to purchase a fridge which allows them to have these items available to all students at the end of the school day. Hillsboro Kwik Trip also donated items, allowing the FUTP 60 team to stock the fridge with more healthy snack options for students.
