Mrs. Hora's English 9 students used Breakout Boxes as a creative introduction to a unit on Dystopian literature.
Breakout Boxes contain a variety of puzzles and clues that students use to solve in order to open various locked boxes. Each uncovered clue leads to the next and all must be solved to open the final box.
The activity empowers students while practicing collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
