NEW STAFF PROFILE | Hey Tigers, we need your help welcoming Rebecca Bohn to our Tiger Team!
Rebecca is our new Paraprofessional for special needs. She is originally from Kendall, WI and is a graduate from Royal High School. She has eight years of experience working with children who have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Her hobbies include canoeing, golfing, gardening and fishing.
When asked why she is looking forward to working in Hillsboro, this is what she said:
“I’ve been working with children for many years in an in-home atmosphere and I’m very excited to move on to a school because working with and teaching children is such a joy. I’m excited to be a part of the process and I'm looking forward to being part of the Hillsboro elementary team! ”

Next week's parent-teacher conferences will all be virtual and held on Monday, Oct. 12 from 4-7:30pm and Wednesday, Oct. 14 from 4-6:30pm.
Teachers will arrange either phone conferences or Google Meet sessions with parents during these times. #HSDGoTigers

Starting Monday, Oct. 5 there will be changes to our meal pick up option for virtual families. This change will remain in effect until further notice.
Monday: pick up for Monday and Tuesday breakfast and lunch.
Wednesday: pick up for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday breakfast and lunch.
Hillsboro School District is offering any families learning virtually free food service pick-up for all children 18 years old and younger in the school district.
Deadline to order for the following week is Friday by noon.

Meals will be available for pick up at Hillsboro Middle/High School Monday and Wednesday between the hours of 12:40-1:10 PM.
In the event of an emergency that prevents you from picking up your meals, please contact the HS office by 9:00am.
The Weekly Food Service Order Form opens each Monday at 10:30 A.M., and closes at noon each Friday. Access the order form using the directions above.

Sports Update: Varsity Football on Friday, and JV Football on Monday have been cancelled.

An important letter has been emailed to district families detailing a Learning Status Update.
This letter can also be found on our website, under School Reopening Plan - Reopening Communications.

The JV Football game on Monday, 9/28 has been postponed.

NEW STAFF PROFILE | Hey Tigers, we need your help welcoming Sarah B. Nusse to our Tiger Team!
Sarah is our new 4K Paraprofessional. She attended Alverno College but is originally from Denver, Colorado. Her hobbies include baking and reading books.
When asked why she is looking forward to working in Hillsboro, this is what she said:
“I am looking forward to teaching at Hillsboro Elementary School because children amaze me and the staff is so supportive of one another. I look forward to what the end of 2020 has for us and what the beginning of 2021 will bring.”

Kindness is contagious!
Kindness is the character trait for the month at Hillsboro Elementary! These third Graders read “A Little Spot of Kindness” by Diane Alber and talked about how to spot kindness and give kindness to others. #BeKind #HSDGoTigers

NEW STAFF PROFILE | Hey Tigers, we need your help welcoming Kendra Bartels to our Tiger Team!
Kendra is our new MS Special Education Paraprofessional. She attended Western Technical College in LaCrosse and eventually transferred to Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Green Bay. Kendra is originally from Necedah, WI and her hobbies include camping 🔥, traveling ✈️, doing anything outdoors 🌳, and spending time with family and friends.
When asked why she is looking forward to working in Hillsboro, this is what she said:
“I am excited to be part of such a welcoming team, on my first day I truly felt like I was in the right place. I am so excited to get to know and work with more staff and students as time goes on.”

Sports Spectator Update -
Volleyball:
No spectators in September. Beginning October 1st, two spectators per athlete will be allowed. Gym will be cleared between JV and Varsity events.
Football:
Beginning September 25th, four spectators per athlete will be allowed.
Masks are required for spectators at indoor and outdoor events.

NEW STAFF PROFILE | Hey Tigers, we need your help welcoming a new fourth grade teacher to our Tiger Team, Tylor Cornell!!
Tylor is originally from Boscobel, WI. He attended UW Richland Center and then transferred to UW Platteville where he graduated. His hobbies include playing bean bags, golf, playing drums and camping.
When asked why he is looking forward to working in Hillsboro, this is what he said:
“I'm looking forward to teaching in Hillsboro because everyone is very friendly and supportive. I've felt welcomed since day one with my 4th grade team and members throughout the district.”
